GOEAST YOUNG PROFESSIONALS

For the first time during their stay in Wiesbaden, contestants of the Students’ Film Competition will be able to profit from a training program that has been put together especially for them. The goEast Young Professionals Program 2006 is aimed at students from the film academies of Bucharest/Romania, Sarajevo/Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the UdK Berlin and the academies of the Rhine-Main area and North Hesse. Activities on the program: a visit to Europe’s largest TV network, ZDF in Mainz, talks with the commissioning editors of ZDF/Das kleine Fernsehspiel and 3sat, with Karl Baumgarten and Elena Trifonova of Pandora Film Frankfurt, a visit to the University of Applied Sciences, Wiesbaden, as well as three workshops on the topics of: pitching, under the guidance of Astrid Lüthe; postproduction at the Wiesbaden company “Upstart”, as well as on the Promotional Prize for Joint Film Productions granted by the Robert Bosch Stiftung, which offers young German filmmakers the opportunity to collaborate on a film project with their counterparts from Eastern and South Eastern Europe. A panel discussion on “Central and Eastern European Film Distribution in German-speaking countries” and a podium discussion on European Film Training round off the program.
