The Festival On Show: goEast Goes Berlin

goEast - Festival of Central and Eastern European Film Wiesbaden Will Be Presented In The Cinema Babylon In Berlin From 22nd To 29th Of May 2005 / A Reading With Hanna Schygulla / A Film Programme With 25 Films / A Portrait Of Martin Šulík

For its opening the cinema Babylon presents an extract from the programme of the fifth Festival of Central and Eastern European Film: goEast goes Berlin. The festival, having within a short time established in the international culture scene as being the place for debating East Europe's art of filmmaking, sends a selection of 25 films to Berlin. The films will be screened in the two halls of the cinema and are the favourites of the festival's audience as well as the three award winners. The festival took successfully place from 6th to 12th of April in Wiesbaden. The programme goEast goes Berlin starts with Hanna Schygulla two days after the opening of the Babylon on 22nd of May. She will be reading from her book 'Du… Augen wie Sterne' at 5 p.m.
