SOME SECRETS / VÝLET
CZECH REPUBLIC 2002
Directed by: Alice Nellis, 100 MIN

Alice Nellis’ second feature film turns a family-trip into a whimsical psychodrama that will make you laugh and cry: grandmother Valerie wants to bury her son, who died in the Czech Republic, in Slovakian soil. On the way there, longstanding conflicts between her, her daughter in law and her two grown-up granddaughters emerge – but they are not the only problems the family battles on their trip to the home-country: some tragic-comic inner conflicts of the former Czechoslovakia, now fractured by a border, are also laid open…

Caligari: 22.04. / 11.30 a.m.

Alice Nellis will be present (to be confirmed).
