A LOOK TO THE EAST: 5 FILMS Under the title “A Look to the East”, goEast and ZDF/Das kleine Fernsehspiel present five new German films. In the last few years, Hans-Christian Schmid, Henner Winckler and other young German directors have shifted their attention more and more towards countries like Poland and the Czech Republic. Their films are not only about and set in Central and Eastern Europe; they were filmed there with multinational crews. We will focus on their experiences on a panel called “The EU enlargement and the potential for co-production”.
