Retrospektive MILAN LJUBIC

Born 1938. Graduated at the Academy for Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana in the unit for film directing. He completed his studies in Poland, after which he worked in film and television. In addition to his basic profession - film director - he has worked in publicity, managment and marketing. He has participated at various former Yugoslavs and famous European film festivals and exhibitions. Between the years 1965 - 1990 he directed more than 30 documentaries, features (SKRETNICAR UZANOG KOLOSEKA, 1986; CUDOVITI PRAH, 1975), TV films and about 20 Portraits of various personalities. Many of this films were presented at Yugoslav and International festivals, for example in Belgrade, Pula, Krakow, Mamaia, Venice and Zagreb. He published more than 300 articles about professional film topics and wrote three books about film. Between 1974-1978 and 1986-1989 he was the managing director of Viba Film and Head of Production. About 20 feature and around 100 short films were produced during his term of office. Some of those films received prizes at international film festivals in Berlin, Moscow, Teheran and other places. He participated at some International Congresses about film production among others in Sorento, Hamburg and Moscow.
