Retrospektive JÓZSEF BERGER

Jószef Berger was born January 26, 1966. After finishing High School he studied Acting and Drama at the National Hungarian Theatre School. Between 1990 and 1993 he studied English Literature and Communication at the McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Jószef Berger has worked with different film-production companies in Canada and was for example Special effects coordinator for the BBC-Production BROTHER CADFELL, before he became managing director of Mythberg Filmproductions in 1997. Among his major productions there were the Hungarian feature film THE ALCHEMIST AND THE VIRGIN (1998/99) and a portait of conductor Adam Fischer for Danish Televsion (1999). He also produced the film PASZPORT, with which Péter Gothár won the award for Best Director at goEast 2001.
